Each volume of a ring-bound hardcopy of an eBundle will have a title page on the outside front cover (to identify it when it is lying flat and unopened) and a label on the spine (to identify it when it is on a shelf or lying flat under other volumes). Frequently opening out, and closing up, ring binders on a desk with limited space can be tiresome so there should also be some way of telling the volume number of an opened volume without having to close it and look on the cover.
The volume number may be printed at the foot of each page but, if not, a label can be stuck to the front inside cover at the top left showing the volume number. There is no need to write the word "volume" - if the number is large enough then it will be obvious that it is a volume number. The page number range contained in the volume and the contents of each section - e.g. "Statements of Case, Witness Statements" may be printed on tabs but, if not, they can be written below the volume number on the label. Use a large label with large writing but the writing should not extend too far to the right - the writing must be more than a page's width from the rings so that it can be seen even when the pages of the volume are open as shown below.
